Items. Every item is one of four kinds. A yes/no item scores 100 for yes and 0 for no. A rating from 1 to 5 scores 0, 25, 50, 75 or 100. A number with a target scores the share of the target you reached, capped at 100; for items where less is better, such as screen time, snoozes or night wakings, it scores 100 at or below the target and falls as you go over. A time with a target scores 100 within five minutes of it, 90 within fifteen, 70 within thirty, 50 within an hour, 25 within two and 0 beyond. Items marked "info" are recorded but never scored.
Weights. Each item carries an importance: critical counts three times, high twice, medium once, low half. An area's score is the weighted average of the items you filled in that day; untouched items are simply left out, so you are never punished for not answering a question. The overall score is the weighted average of the areas you tracked, with each area's own weight from 0.8 to 1.5.
XP and levels. Save entry awards 10 XP for the day, plus 5 for a score of 50 or more, 10 for 70 or more, 20 for 90 or more, plus one XP per day of your current streak up to 30. It is awarded once per day however many areas you save. Badges add their own XP. Ten levels run from Beginner at 0 XP through Novice, Apprentice, Practitioner, Skilled, Advanced, Expert, Master and Grandmaster to Legend at 5,500.
Streaks. A tracked day is one with at least one scored item. The streak is the run of consecutive tracked days ending today, or ending yesterday if today is not tracked yet. The perfect-day streak is the run of days at 80% or more. Both bests are kept.
Badges. First Steps (first day), Getting Started (7 days tracked), Week Warrior, Month Master, Century Club and Year Champion (streaks of 7, 30, 100 and 365), Perfect Week (7 days in a row at 80% or more), Perfect Month (the last 30 tracked days average 80% or more), Early Bird (up before 6 AM on 30 days), Fitness Freak (exercised 30 days in a row), Money Master (the financial area at 80% or more on 30 days), Zen Master (meditated 30 days in a row), Digital Detoxer (met the screen limits 30 days in a row), Bookworm (read 30 days in a row) and Bounce Back (tracked again after a gap of three days or more). The streak badges read the yes/no items "Exercised", "Meditated", "Met screen time limits" and "Read today" in their areas.
What this is not. A number on a page is a mirror, not a judge. The score is only as honest as the answers, a low day is information rather than failure, and the point of the streak is to come back tomorrow, which is exactly what the Bounce Back badge is for.
