Add your pictures
Drop one or more JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP files on the preview panel, or click Add Pictures. The first one opens in the preview; the others appear as thumbnails beneath it, and a click switches between them.
Resize one picture, or a batch, for Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok: 17 platform sizes and your own, crop-to-fill or letterbox, safe-zone guides, JPG, PNG or WebP at the quality you choose, one file or a ZIP. Your pictures stay in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
Drop one or more JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP files on the preview panel, or click Add Pictures. The first one opens in the preview; the others appear as thumbnails beneath it, and a click switches between them.
Seventeen platform sizes are listed on the left, from an Instagram square to a YouTube channel banner. Tick as many as you like, or type a width and height for a custom size; sizes you used before are a click away under Recent Sizes.
The dashed frame on the preview shows what the first selected size will keep, and the inner green frame the part that stays clear of profile pictures, buttons and captions. Drag to move the view and scroll or use the slider to zoom.
With Lock Aspect Ratio on, the picture fills each size and the overflow is cropped from the middle. Switch it off to fit the whole picture inside the size instead, with the gaps filled in the background colour you choose.
JPG for photos, PNG for graphics with text or transparency, WebP for the smallest files. The quality slider applies to JPG and WebP; 85 percent is a good default for anything a platform will compress again anyway.
Export All Sizes makes every selected size for every picture: one file when there is one, otherwise a single ZIP named after the first picture. Export Current saves the open picture at its own size in the chosen format and quality.
Every platform shows images in fixed frames, and a picture that does not match them is cropped, padded or shrunk by the platform itself, usually badly. These are the frames the tool offers and what each is for.
Square posts are 1080 x 1080; portrait posts 1080 x 1350 (4:5), which take the most space in the feed; landscape posts 1080 x 566 (1.91:1); stories and reels 1080 x 1920 (9:16), with the top and bottom covered by the profile line and the reply bar, which is what the safe zone shows.
Cover photos display at 820 x 312 on a desktop and are cropped to the middle on phones; shared-link and post images are 1200 x 630 (1.91:1); event covers are 1920 x 1080 (16:9). Keep text away from the lower-left corner of a cover, where the profile picture sits.
The header banner is 1500 x 500 (3:1); the profile picture covers its lower-left corner. Post images display best at 1200 x 675 (16:9), the ratio the timeline uses for a single image.
Personal profile banners are 1584 x 396 (4:1), with the profile picture over the lower left; company page banners 1128 x 191; images in posts 1200 x 628, close to the 1.91:1 link-preview frame.
Thumbnails are 1280 x 720 (16:9), shown small, so one subject and few words. Channel banners are uploaded at 2560 x 1440, but only a 1546 x 423 strip in the middle shows on every device; the safe zone marks the middle.
Standard pins are 1000 x 1500 (2:3), the ratio the grid favours; square pins 1000 x 1000. TikTok videos and photos are 1080 x 1920 (9:16), with the caption and the buttons over the lower part and the right edge.
JPG is the choice for photographs: small files, no transparency, and a quality setting. The slider runs from 1 to 100; 80 to 90 looks the same as the original on a screen at a fraction of the size, and every platform re-compresses on upload anyway. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so it suits logos, screenshots and graphics with text, at the price of larger files; the slider does not apply. WebP makes the smallest files of the three at the same quality and is accepted by the big platforms, but a few older tools still do not open it, so keep JPG for anything you will send to a stranger.
The background fill matters twice: when Lock Aspect Ratio is off and the picture is fitted inside the size with gaps, and when a transparent PNG is saved as a JPG, which has no transparency. White is the default; pick a brand colour or black for a cinematic letterbox.
Files are named after the picture and the size, holiday_1080x1080.jpg, so a folder of exports stays readable. One export downloads as one file; two or more are packed into a single ZIP on your device, named after the first picture, because browsers block a burst of separate downloads. Export Current is different: it saves the open picture at its own pixel size, in the chosen format and quality, which is a quick way to convert a PNG to a JPG or to shrink a photo without changing its frame.
Two things are remembered in this browser between visits: the export settings (quality, format, background, the two switches) and the last five sizes you used, shown under Recent Sizes. The pictures themselves are never stored anywhere.
No. The pictures are read by your browser, drawn onto an invisible drawing surface at each size and saved from there. Nothing is sent to a server, and the tool keeps working without an internet connection once the page has loaded.
Instagram square, portrait, landscape and story; Facebook cover, post and event cover; X header and post; LinkedIn profile banner, company banner and post; YouTube thumbnail and channel banner; Pinterest standard and square pin; TikTok. Any other size up to 8000 pixels a side can be typed in as a custom size.
It never squashes. With Lock Aspect Ratio on, the picture is scaled to fill the size and the overflow is cropped from the middle. With it off, the whole picture is fitted inside the size and the gaps are filled with the background colour.
The dashed frame on the preview shows the part of the picture that the first selected size will keep; the inner green frame marks a 10 percent margin inside it, where profile pictures, buttons and captions may cover the edges on the platform. Keep faces and text inside the inner frame.
Yes. Choose or drop several files; thumbnails appear under the preview, and Export All Sizes makes every selected size for every picture. More than one file comes down as a single ZIP.
JPG for photos (small files, a quality slider), PNG for graphics with text or transparency (lossless, larger), WebP for the smallest files where the platform accepts it. Every platform listed here accepts JPG and PNG.
